Aspiring Manager Award winners to coach Hospitality Students
Following on from the Institute of Hospitality London Student Forum the hospitality students that attended this had to do a video pitch or a live pitch in order to be selected to be coached for 6 months from January 2014 to June 2014 by a hospitality professional.
Today I met up with some of the Aspiring Manager Award winners that will coach some of the students. Each year the Institute of Hospitality London branch awards Aspiring Managers who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to their organisation, customers and colleagues. Previous winners of this prestigious award were invited to coach our hospitality students together with members from the London Committee.
I met up with Derek Rostel who is the Assistant HR Director at the Four Seasons on Park Lane, and we discussed his coaching candidate over lunch:
I then made my way over to The Cavendish Hotel to meet up with Roy Sommer, Deputy General Manager and Nitin Padwal their Head Chef who will also be coaching our students:
Over the next few days the students and coaches will be introduced to one another, so they can prepare to start their coaching after the busy festive period and there is no better time of year to be setting goals than the new year!
So hot off the press I am delighted to announce that the students that were successfully selected have now been matched to their coaches as follows:
Student | College | Coach | Organisation |
Chantal Owen-Wright | Westminster Kingsway College | Monica Or FIH | Owner of Star Quality Hospitality Consultancy |
