Well it is at this time of year that we celebrate the successes of our colleagues and peers and if you look at the hospitality calender you will not fail to see a whole host of different award ceremonies that you can attend over the coming months.

In my recent article in Hotel Industry magazine on Celebrate Your Success! you will see just a few of these mentioned.

Well  I am currently busy going round the various hotels, bed and breakfasts, campsites / caravan parks, and self catering facilities as I am judging the finalists for the Essex Tourism and Hospitality Awards in the Hospitality Venue of the Year category, and it has certainly been interesting to meet the owner / managers of these properties. At this stage I cannot divulge any of my findings although I must say the competition is certainly fierce out there and all finalists are to be congratulated.

The finalists for all the categories are listed here and the winners will be revealed at the Essex Tourism and Hospitality Awards ceremony on the 23rd October 2013.
