Banana Tree complete Management 1st Programme

I have really enjoyed the last few weeks working with the Senior Management Team, Restaurant Managers and Chefs from the Banana Tree restaurant group. Banana Tree currently operate 7 restaurants within London located at Angel, Bayswater, Maida Vale, West Hampstead, Soho, Watford and Clapham Junction specialising in Indochina cuisine.

Banana Tree Management 1st

I trained the team on the Management 1st Programme which has been designed by the People 1st Training Company and comprises of four modules – Managing Yourself, Managing Communication and Influencing, Managing Others and Managing Assertively.

Throughout the course the managers were taught skills in understanding their values, behaviours and motivations, first impressions, credibility and being organised, use of body language, using powerful questions, positive language and influencing, delegation, coaching, negotiation and assertiveness. The managers from Banana Tree coached one another and shared their progress of how they are putting in to the practice the skills they learnt on the programme and how they are taking action with their goals. At the end of the last day each manager gave a presentation summarising what they had learnt, what they were implementing back in their workplace and shared their future plans.

Feedback from the delegates included:

“Good training sessions and interesting group work – effective and impactful” – Karthik Ramakrishnan – Operations Manager

“Thank you it was very enjoyable and interesting” – Mandeep Matharu – HR Officer

“I liked the teaching style, easy to follow, useful activities” – Anna Skubiszynska – Operations Support Assistant

“A big thank you for all your support and help” – Paulina Mosiewicz – Restaurant Manager

The team took away with them a whole host of tools and techniques that they can use to improve their own personal performance in their restaurants and it was fantastic to see how passionate they all were about their businesses and that they were eager to share their knowledge with their teams.
