DMB Tourism Awards 2022 – Small Hotel Winners
Over the past few months I have been delighted to have been involved in the DMB Tourism Awards 2022. The Destination Management Board Awards celebrate hospitality and tourism businesses across Bournemouth, Pool and Christchurch. In total there were 18 award categories.
I was a sponsor for the Small Hotel category and independent judge. From the entries received these went through the initial judging phase focusing on their social media, website and reviews, and a partial score given for recent improvements, best things about their business, how they measure their success and future plans from which four semi finalists were announced.
These four semi finalists were then given a site inspection visit, whereby the owner / managers were interviewed to find out more in depth information and evidence of their recent improvements, best things about their business, how they measure their success and future plans. In addition to this they were also judged on their customer service, facilities, cleanliness, catering, leadership, training and development.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner on the 10th November.
