A short walk from Fulham Broadway tube station you will come across a newly opened Bistro in Fulham Road. Run by Joseph Antippa and Tyler Martin this new venture is sure to be a hit with the locals.
I had the pleasure of dining there last night, and as you walk in the informal friendly atmosphere is apparent. There is a rustic feel as you are seated at your table that is made from reclaimed wood, and a casual fun concept to dining is introduced by your host Joseph. The menu is presented to you on a clipboard and there is a selection of tantalising dishes which you can choose from including small plates, all day dishes, hot rolls, hot plates, cheese and sweet plates. However this is dining with a difference, gone are the rules of starter, main course and desert – at Manuka Kitchen you mix and match whatever dishes you feel like… and you are going to want to taste all of them.
The food choices given I can only describe as european cuisine with a twist as the talented chefs Tyler and David have cleverly combined unique flavours that compliment one another superbly. The open kitchen lets you watch the chefs in action – but there is no pomp or ceremony about this – it is like sitting in your lounge and watching your friends prepare your meal in their kitchen.
Manuka Kitchen is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30am through to 11.00pm and the casual dining concept means you can pop in anytime for a coffee and a bite to eat. Their brunch menu which is chalked up on their blackboard is proving ever popular. What other delights do they offer? Well on their counter you will find a selection of Manuka Honey that can be purchased too.
Manuka Kitchen can be found at 510 Fulham Road, London – this is definitely one to keep an eye on and watch out for further developments….
