Hospitality Meets… with Phil Street Podcasts
During the pandemic, businesses have pivoted and people have used their time constructively learning new skills and developing themselves in all sorts of different ways. This was no exception for Phil Street, a Recruiter by day and now a Podcaster in his ‘spare time’.
The Hospitality Meets…with Phil Street Podcasts is a series of light hearted podcasts that Phil produces through interviewing Hospitality Professionals to find out their stories and how they became involved in the hospitality industry. It started off as a project during Covid and has proved so popular that Phil has won awards for his podcasts.
From Pantomimes to Podcasts
Like many people that work in hospitality, Phil has always had a secret yearning to perform, and I helped him release this during a networking event when we got talking about the Springboard Pantomime. I had performed in their Aladdin Pantomine the previous year and then we both ended up performing in their Dick Whittington Pantomime… ironically Phil was cast as a reporter. Phil then also went on to perform in their last pantomime Snow White. Due to Covid unfortunately there has not been another Springboard Pantomime, so that’s when Phil turned to producing Podcasts!
Time has flown by since his first podcast and I was honoured to be his guest for his 95th episode! Click on the link to listen to the ‘Hospitality Meets with Monica Or – the Networking Queen’ podcast and find out more about my story.
Official Podcaster for the Institute of Hospitality
However for Phil these podcasts have proved so popular that he is now the official podcaster for the Institute of Hospitality’s #I’min where he hosts panel discussions with IOH Members on hot topics in the industry. Episode 2 ‘To discipline or not to discipline – That is the question!’ is currently available to IOH members. A few weeks after their release to members, they will become available to non members.
If you want to get involved and be Phil’s next guest, then feel free to contact him directly. If you need me to connect you with him, I am happy to do that too. #Imin #HospitalityFamily
