Starring in Springboard’s Hospitality Pantomime Dick Whittington

This year our founder Monica Or, will be starring in Springboard’s Hospitality Pantomime Dick Whittington. The Springboard Charity have been putting on a pantomime with a hospitality twist for the last three years. The first year it was ‘Springderella’ in 2017 at King’s Place. In 2018 they turned it up a notch and the performance was ‘Aladdin’ at the Arts Theatre in Leicester Square. For 2019 ‘Dick Whittington’ will be performed at the Leciester Square Theatre from 29th January to 1st February 2019 for 4 nights only.

Last year Monica delivered a Star Quality performance in Springboard’s Aladdin as a dancing Genie Gem and had a dance solo as a talented management trainee. This year she has a named role and will be playing ‘Fiona Silverton’ a TV news reporter, as well as being a dancing waiter.

Monica has also pledged to raise £200 for Springboard to take part in their pantomime, so any donations would be most welcome. Please use this link to donate on. Thanks in advance.

Why are Springboard putting on a Pantomime?

The hospitality pantomime was the brainchild of Chris Penn (Steel Hotels). To bring together industry friends and family in a fun way and to raise vital funds for the work that Springboard carry out.

Springboard are looking to raise an overall income target of £50,000. This will fund two new employability programmes supporting 30 people who are unemployed and face real barriers to sustaining a job. Springboard will be able to build their confidence, their skills and provide long term mentoring to ensure that they find a fulfilling career; changing their future.

Springboard’s CEO Anne Pierce explains more about the work they do in this video:
